🇮🇹 E’ iniziata la stagione della vendemmia 2019 anche a Villa Acquaviva, cantina a cui sono molto legato per vari motivi, tra cui la forte amicizia con Fabrizio.
Questa mattina, alle prime luci dell’alba, è iniziato il lavoro di raccolta dello Chardonnay, vitigno internazionale a bacca bianca originario della Francia, ha una elevata vigoria con produzione regolare ed abbondante. La vendemmia è abbastanza precoce, in quanto germoglia relativamente presto; per questa caratteristica teme le gelate primaverili. Soffre le zone umide, in quanto la sua buccia sottile lo espone a ‘marciumi’. E’ un vitigno versatile, viene utilizzato sia per la produzione di vini fermi sia di spumanti ‘Metodo Classico’.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The harvest season 2019 has started at Villa Acquaviva, a winery I am fond of for various reasons, including a strong friendship with Fabrizio.
This morning, at sunsire, the work of harvesting Chardonnay, an international white grape variety originating from France, began. It has a high vigor with regular and abundant production. The harvest is quite early, as it sprouts relatively early; for this characteristic it afraids spring frosts. It suffers in wet areas, as its thin skin exposes it to “rot”. It’s a versatile grape variety, used both for the production of flat wines and for sparkling wines “Metodo Classico”.
From this harvest will be born ‘Chardonnay Maremma Toscana DOC’,whitevinification at controlled temperature and aging in barriques for 6 months, a white suitable for the whole meal.
